KALYANI MENON-SEN is a feminist activist, researcher and trainer who works with JAGORI, a women’s resource centre in New Delhi, India. JAGORI has been involved in advocacy and action on a range of women’s rights issues, through reaching out to grassroots women's groups, evolving strategies to expand the range and scope of the women’s movement, and building feminist consciousness among women from marginalised and oppressed communities. KALYANI has personally been involved for several years in efforts at developing tools and methodologies for economic literacy at the grassroots level. Her focus is on building links between advocacy for change in macroeconomic policies, and communities who are directly experiencing a crisis of survival but have not so far been able to locate their experiences in the macro context of economic policies.
