



Gary Craig is based at the Department of Social Policy and Criminology, University of Hull. He is the world's first Professor of Social Justice, Director of the Centre for Research in Social Inclusion and Social Justice and Associate Director of the Wilberforce Institute for the study of Slavery and Emancipation. Prior to twelve years in academic life, he worked in local government and the voluntary sector in community development projects. His major responsibility is for the development of research in social policy and research interests include poverty and inequalities, community development and empowerment, children and young people, 'race' and ethnicity, modern slavery, research methodology, and local governance.
